The help resource is specified when the user needs basic information about which options and resources are available to be modified along with a brief explanation.  Here is a sample help listing from the sfcwx program.

   sfcwx: This program plots various types of surface data
   sfcwx syntax (version:5.0-X11)
      sfcwx [options...]
   Keyed options...
    -df file    Resource/defaults file name
    -na name    Program name
    -h          Print this help
    -ba         Run program in batch mode
    -me level   Message level to be displayed:
    -nc type    Naming convention file name
    -fp path    File path
    -dp path    Raw data path
    -cp path    Converted data path
    -cowd clr   Wind barb colors
    -cocd clr   Cloud cover symbol colors
    -cowx clr   Weather symbol colors
    -de dev[,name]  Output device: d,p,q,w,m
    -ti title   Window title
    -ic         Open window iconified
    -bg clr     Background color
    -ge wxh+x+y  Window geometry
   Positional options...
    file        Input file name

The help listing is very brief and often does not give possible values for each of the resources.  To get a full option list, you must refer to the program reference for each program.
